Facebook: Amelia Whitman
I started working with my father, Bill Whitman, right out of college in 2010. I am lucky to learn from the best and benefit from his 30+ year career! As a millennial, I am all about social media and online marketing. I LOVE where I live! My family has a long history in SoCo (southern Anne Arundel County) and I went to college at Hopkins in Baltimore. I love sharing my local knowledge with my clients!
A Maryland native, Amelia grew up on the shores of the West River, attending sailing school at West River Sailing Club and exploring the river on a 13 foot Whaler. She was home schooled during high school and then went on to attend Anne Arundel Community College and Johns Hopkins University. Amelia graduated from JHU with a double major in International Relations & Creative Writing and was on the Women’s Crew Team. An avid traveler, Amelia visited and explored South America, Africa and Europe during and after college. Today, Amelia lives in Edgewater, Maryland with her husband Jeff. They are members of West River Sailing Club in Galesville and they compete in the Wednesday Night Sail Boat Races as crew on her mother’s Tartan 27. Jeff and Amelia have two dogs, Chester and Laila, who are very much part of the family!
Growing up in Anne Arundel County, Amelia is well versed in issues that relate specifically to waterfronts, land, farm, condominium and Home Owners Associations:
- Waterfronts: critical area, flood zones, building permits, etc
- Land & Farm: building permits, RA zoning, subdivision regulations and requirements, septic systems, wells, etc
- Condo & Home Owners Associations: Maryland Condominium Act
